Technical Requirements

The main tasks of the position will be:

  • Support GMS operations preparation and validation activities
  • Support the preparation of GMS Operations Plan including the maintenance of the operational products
  • Prepare/support/execute GMS related system operation validation activities (SVT/SCTC/ETE)
  • Prepare/support/execute software engineering activities
  • Ensure/support GMS databases preparation, coordination, synchronisation, verification
  • Give support to training and sim campaign
  • Support internal/external services/activities
  • Monitor performance services and trigger corrective actions
  • Generate and maintain ground/mission operations documentation
  • Follow up/support reviews and milestones
  • Interface to the management and ground/flight/mission operations team
  • Generate reports as required
  • Take over mission operations positions/duties on call as requested
  • Upon request of the MOM, act as deputy MOM (e.g., during meetings or on special requests from GfR/SPO/ESA/etc.)

Academic Requirements

  • A Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering or in an equivalent discipline
  • Experience in mission operations preparation and execution
Specific Requirements
  • System-minded and a team player
  • Able to work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Fluent in English, both in speech and writing
  • German language skills would be an asset
