Dissemination Engineer - Sent-3 (m/f) | | Project | Sent-3 | Required Start Date | tbd | Duration | permanent | Submission Deadline | 20th February 2015 | Location | EUMETSAT - Darmstadt | Technical Requirements | LSE Space is looking for an experienced Engineer (m/f) in order to fulfill the duty of Dissemination Operations Engineer for Sentinel-3 for our customer EUMETSAT in Darmstadt/Germany. The primary responsibilities of this role will be: - The Dissemination Operations Engineer (DOE) shall mainly perform tasks related to dissemination in support of Copernicus Sentinel-3 during the routine operations phase.
- The tasks primarily involve the support to the operations of the various dissemination components, the analysis, testing, and implementation of new data streams and the monitoring and reporting.
- It also includes the setting-up and implementation of operational procedures, and the co-ordination with external organisations and service providers.
| Academic Requirements | A University degree in an engineering discipline is required. | Specific Requirements | - Proven in operations of real-time data dissemination systems, and be familiar with DVB-S satellite communications and ground segment operations.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of near real-time data services in a highavailability environment (24/7);
- Demonstrated experience of Encryption technologies, USB smart cards, TripleDES;
- Demonstrated experience of DVB based receive-only earth stations for satellite communications;
- Demonstrated experience of IP multicast data distribution systems, such as "Tellicast"provided by Newtec.
