HORIZONS launch and docking
2018-06-07
A trio of international astronauts from ESA, NASA and Roscosmos were blasted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome yesterday and will reach the ISS tomorrow. That will be the start of the Horizons mission aboard the Columbus module, led by ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst.
Watch the docking live at this link.
LSE Space is supporting this mission with three service teams operating at DLR’s Columbus Control Centre in Oberpfaffenhofen: Flight Control, Ground Control and Maintenance. They perform operations during launch and docking. The same teams are in charge of the Columbus routine operations as well.
